Beautiful views and peaceful location but we were chased out by tiny, biting gnats into the campground at Buffalo Gap. The road was very muddy and rutted due to recent rain. Would not want to be caught up there in wet weather.

Beautiful, quiet location but the tiny, biting gnats chased us into the campground at Buffalo Gap! The road was very slick and muddy getting to the spot due to recent rain and would not want to be caught there in wet weather.

Road must've gotten seriously rutted out since last review, still passable in 2wd van but was getting some scraping of the axle on my promaster, definitely would NOT attempt when wet. Most of the roads in are great just gets gnarly after last turn off for final 500m or so. Beautiful surroundings, very faint highway noise and train passed by a couple of times, but no one else around, peaceful sleep. 3 bars ATT

stayed one night. pretty easy road to come up on. i’m pulling a small teardrop trailer behind a Subaru Forester with a normal ground clearance and didn’t have a problem. it’s quite here. only one other car came up. and they’re parked far away. no one else here. no shade- but great for solar. i’d say any rig Class C and below could make it here. 3bars LTE Verizon. 2 bars LTE TMobile

I spent a couple nights here. The first night was windy af, but the rest of the time I was there was just a light breeze. I was the only car there for 2 days. Has a pretty easy to walk trail, though you do gotta watch for cow poop. I had intermittent service with T-Mobile. If I found myself in the area I'd stay there again.

Lovely spot with great views of the grassland! Lots of prairie dogs, cows, and wild horses. Spent one night here and slept great. Nice sunset, nice stars, and no one around at night. Road in was good, no issue for my RWD Transit van. There’s trails for hiking, horseback riding, mountain biking, and ATVing right next to here so don’t expect to be alone during the day.

This was a beautiful secluded spot down a dirt road. Larger rigs might have a harder time with the bumps. I stayed here two nights. Both nights one other van came and stayed on a lower area. Other then that only one work vehicle and one four wheeler passed me the entire stay. Surrounded by hills and cows with a gorgeous sunset.
