Lake is closed to non-permitted uses from 11:00 pm - 5:00 am local time. The city ordinance prescribes a $100 fine.
Beautiful lakeside parking. Parked here overnight, with other vehicles dispersed along the river as well, with people night fishing. Some cars passed by during the night but the speed limit is slow so it wasn’t bothersome. We didn’t see any signs for 'no parking'. Road is flat dirt road, easy driving. Clean. We have a RAV4 with rooftop tent. I’d imagine it is busier on weekends.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
Overnight camping is not permitted. Lake is officially closed if you are not fishing at 11:00 pm local time.
Report Check-Inlooks like it'll be a decent stealth spot!
edit!! got kicked out by a cop at 1 am "parks close at 11pm"
Beautiful lake. Camped in 30 ft camper still hooked up to truck. Level….nothing needed to level camper. People fishing but we don’t have Oklahoma licenses.
Update: last night about 11:00, a local police officer knocked our door inquiring if we were planning to stay the night. We told him yes and he said all lake areas close at 11. Since we were set up and already asleep he let us stay. Although it is a beautiful place, I wouldn’t take a chance and stay there again.
Report Check-InArrived here at around 11 pm on a Sunday and the area was very busy. Many cars around with people fishing, talking, making out, and who knows what else. The road adjacent to here is also busy but not very loud. I didn't think it was going to work out but have it a shot anyway.
I was not bothered at all. Woke up around 6 to the sound of a on the lake that is just feet from the parking area. No restroom (that I could immediately see) aside, this was a nice spot.
Report Check-InThis place was a great stay. No one bothered us. Stayed very close to the lake.
