Description
Any size RV's are allowed to park overnight anywhere in town that does not have a sign saying "no overnight parking" and are not on the travel lane pavement. We parked in the large, quiet lot behind the Community Center where the drawing for "The Wave" is held every morning. We were within walking distance to everything in town. Great cell everywhere in town.

Just spoke to some very friendly staff at the Kane County Visitor Centre in town who advised that it is 100% NOT allowed to camp overnight at the community centre (nor anywhere in town)! They are in the process of having signs posted to that effect, but it is still illegal to camp here despite the lack of current signage & you will be ticketed if caught.
There are heaps of amazing free campsites located a short distance from Kanab, many of which are marked on this app (we recommend Hog Canyon as a nearby option), so don’t risk an unpleasant knock in the night. Hoping a moderator will remove this listing to avoid future confusion!

Great sleeping parking, there are few cars at night, there is space and it is very quiet. During the morning it has movement.
Report Check-InFlat asphalt lot to charge EV and sleep overnight behind the community center. Gets busy in the morning from people seeking The Wave hiking lottery permit. Big dumpster for mixed trash. Don’t ask for the public WiFi password, they won’t give it out.
