Latest Check-Ins

Town says not allowed. Was asked to leave after parking here overnight.

Report Check-In

Beautiful views. Right on the sidewalk. Amazing place to stop and cook or just rest.

Report Check-In

There are signs prohibiting staying overnight. Last week the law changed in the city and you can no longer sleep in parking lots. This is due to the large volume of people living in Van (homeless).

Report Check-In

Spent a few nights here. I parked near Hilton, and it was very quiet at night. Good fit for a 24ft van.

Report Check-In

Get in late and leave early. Few open spots when I pulled in at midnight. Was quiet, some spots pick up the Marina Wifi. Hidden gem right by the airport useful if you’re waiting for a flight.

Report Check-In

Un peu bruyant la nuit mais on a pas été dérangé. Les gens circulent à pied et jasent. ( vendredi soir )

Report Check-In

Solid spot. It is loud and busy until late then starting early again with plenty of people coming and going but with the options around I’d stay again. No knock no signs prohibiting just come in late and leave early. Nice walk along the water and grass for the doggos.

Report Check-In

It’s a cool place to park but very noisy and lots of traffic

Report Check-In

Used this spot in the past. Perfect spot for a late night Airport Pickup. Still busy as ever but parking was available. Parking Enforcement Cops were out and about during the day reading license plates.

Report Check-In

My first night I stayed at the more southern stalls closest to the island entrance road by. There seemed to be Uber drivers pulling up every 10 minutes all night and some were blasting music. The next night I stayed at the northern most stalls and it was much more quiet, minus light traffic noise.

This place is an amazing spot to sleep for the night! I actually stayed here for 3 nights while exploring San Diego and looking to save some money on a place to stay. It’s street parking that is right by the water so it gets nice and cool at night. It’s also right next to a bunch of hotels, so as long as you’re low key and respectful, you also have access to their restrooms. We did this just to use the restroom in the restroom and change for all 4 days and had no problems.

Only thing that can get a bit annoying, is this seems to be a spot that a lot of people go to at night to chill and smoke. One night, it reeked of weed and the people smoking left a bunch of trash and then peeled off in their car at like 3 AM, scaring my friend and I awake.

Honestly, that wasn’t that bad though. One thing I will say that can be a serious issue depending on your rig, is this area seems to have a rat problem. Just keep that in mind and do what you will with that info.

Otherwise, this place was a 10/10. Felt completely safe here, not too much of a homeless population that hangs in this area, and it didn’t seem like anybody cared that we were sleeping there multiple nights.

Unbelievable spot! I triple checked the sign just to make sure! Slept great… until a local fisherman blared his horn around 7am because we were parked in “his spot”… poor baby had to walk to his favorite fishing spot. As he did, he screamed into my truck “get the f*%k out of here you’re taking up parking spots!” I got out to walk the dog and he was calling the SD Port authorities on speaker phone for my benefit… it was before they’re business hours so I laughed and said, “looks like you’re the only one awake enough to care at this hour, Sir!” He just got nasty with me after that. I could have legally stayed in “my” spot until 11am if I wanted. I would defiantly stay again but I have a feeling this guy is going to ruin it for all of us. By way way… there were no signs posted saying it was legal to fish there… just sayin’

Report Check-In

Same as previously mentioned. 3h parking from 8am to 6pm. Traffic was pretty busy on a Sunday night but it died down around midnight.

Report Check-In

Great stay. Was a little worried at first that it would be loud, but got quiet quickly about 11pm.

Report Check-In

Arrived around 6:15 pm on a Friday night. It’s a pretty popular place, obviously, so there were people coming and going for awhile, until around 11 pm. Around 7 am Saturday morning I could hear families and runners up and at em.
Good spot but there was an RV with a table and chairs and I just thought “NO NO NO!” I was worried they’d attract police attention but nope.

Report Check-In

Great spot. Stayed 2 nights no problem. Gets busy on the weekends but people are consistently going in and out so there are spots always opening up.

Report Check-In

This spot seems too good to be true. But parked here around 8 pm, and had no issues. Quieted down after 11 pm and made for a great nights sleep.

Report Check-In

Stayed one night here. No complaints. Nice view.

Report Check-In

Stayed here for one night without any problems.

Report Check-In

Perfect overnight spot after "Airport Pickup". Airport is only a mile away. There are 28 total parallel parking spots (groups of 4) along the walking path. Lots of traffic, constant helicopter racket, airport noise, ship traffic...BUT, the bayside views are spectacular. Many parking spots were filled overnight but we had our choice of at least 10 different spots. We sat there until after 10AM, after walking the length of the island. No parking enforcement while we were there. Great spot which we'll likely use again.

Report Check-In

Spots up and down road. We chose one further down just before the roundabout for hopefully less traffic. Wasn't so lucky. Couple of sport bikes racing up the road for an hour and taking pictures of their rides next to our van. Also the airport is a constant noise. If you can sleep through noise, this is a good option with a bit of a view. We were out by 6am no problems.

Report Check-In

Slept here two nights with no issues. 3-hour parking enforced 8am-6pm 7 days a week. It can get pretty loud with traffic, people getting in and out of cars, people walking by, etc.

Report Check-In

same as last comment.
Beautiful light to wake up.
some noises, but if you are super tired you're probably fine.
free until 8am to 6pm

nice to walk with the dog after a long driving journey

Report Check-In

Curb-side parking next to the water. Restrooms are a short walk away at a nearby park. Magnificent view of the city! Lots of pedestrian traffic on the sidewalk and the walkway and lawn are in very nice shape. Regularly spaced trash cans. Very nice place to stop. The constant hum of helicopters from the navy air base never stops but it’s kind of a white noise and it doesn’t bother us. The ambient noise provides additional sound privacy as well.

Report Check-In

Same as previously noted. Same parking hours.
