Description
Small local lodge right beside the Great East Road, few km from Chipata center. Almost opposite to Kigelia campsite (which is run down). Room was 300k. Clean room, no damp smells, etc. Restaurant can make simple, local dishes (i.e. Fish 70k). Ok choice if you don’t want to camp for a night. Friendly staff. Can also do your laundry.

They had rooms from 200 but we took the one for 300 as it was nicer and included breakfast. Standard was very good, clean, secure parking and we didn’t have any issues with mosquitoes at all. Might spend on time of year. There is also a bar and swimming pool. It was great value for money!

Report Check-InStayed for 2 nights while waiting for pcr results (at nearby district hospital). Decent but simple room for 250kw. Just outside chipata and not too noisy. Big problem with mosquitos when we were there and there are no nets. Safe parking for your car.
Report Check-InActually the lodge is not that small! They even have a swimming pool and a bar.
Food is not bad, but needs a long time to get prepared.
Small rooms start at 150 Kw, for 250 Kw you will get a very decent room.
Rooms are better than at Mamarula, and cheaper than at Cross Roads Lodge.
