Description

10/10 spot for vans, trucks and high clearance vehicles.

when you pull in off the main road take first left, immediately you will see a small dirt road on your left, then immediately veer to the right. Take that road past a small campsite, then the end of the road is the campsite!

it has waterfalls and 2 fire pits, swimming hole.

could fit 8 vans or cars back here.

This place is incredibly beautiful! On the Rouge River with plenty of room if you have a group. Doubtful if trailers can make it but our truck camper had no problem. One of the best dispersed sites we have been too!

the perfect free campspot next to a river. lots of spots along the road. the main road is paved but the road leading to the campground is dirt, however very doable when we were here but I can imagine with more rainfall it can be tricky. some spots are close to the waterfall (which is noisy) and other spots next to the river but further from it. very big spaces, suitable for tents but also RVs, not too big ones tho. no sell service here, but nobody will bother you, would definitely go again

Very nice spot. The water sound is a bit loud.

Exceptional free camping right on the river with a stone fire pit. This one at the end of the 304 road. 2 other sites near by as well, possibly more. No amenities and no cell service, but I could stay awhile at this place, beautiful!

Kinda hard to find and there is no cell service. Turn off route 62 at the sign for Abbott creek Campground onto a paved road. Take that road for a mile or two until you cross a bridge and then there is a dirt road on your right. Take a left at thw first fork and then a right at the next fork by sign 304. Drive all the way to the end of the road and there is a big flat area to camp next to the river and falls.

Wow, what a hidden oasis! The waterfall was so loud it drown out any noise. Being far from the main road it didn’t matter much but the sound was a nice treat. It’s not the easiest to find and internet doesn’t exist. GPS didn’t pull up the side road to turn into. My recommendation is to zoom into the spot with internet and then it will pull up the exact road. There are 3 separate spots to camp, this spot is the only spot with a waterfall! It was quite smoky though. The river water was crystal clear water that is definitely worth filtering. Swimming in it is absolutely freezing. We would of stayed many more nights but the smoke drove us away. Plus, it’s a bit of a ways away if your mission is crater lake.
