Description

Rest stop south of Moab. Got into the area after dark and didn’t want to risk the dirt roads in the dark to go to the BLM site I was planning on. Stumbled upon this rest stop. Lots of semis here plus about 8 other vans, travel trailers, and SUVs with people staying the night. Building with vending machines outside, but didn’t check it out. No T-Mobile service, got AT&T enough to send some texts but that was about it. Good option if you don’t have a place to stay in Moab and are coming in after dark.

I stayed here in my van. A number of trucks and a few cars and vans staying the night. Some road noise. No problems at all.

A complete blessing to find. Battling 60mph wind gusts all the way from Recapture Reservoir and so thankful that this rest stop was here. parked at the end so a rock and shelter blocked some of the flying debris from hitting my van. A well maintained place with good bathrooms and a dog walking area. I was very surprised the parking area was not full. great place no complaints.

Small highway rest stop. Great place to stay if you arrive too late to find dispersed sites. The truck spaces in the center were already full when we arrived about 8pm, and semis were starting to park along the side of the road adjacent to the rest stop. If you come with a trailer or a motorhome too long to fit in the head-in parking, please consider parallel parking along the sides of the lot, and save the truck spots for semis. Though you can't see it at night, this is actually a pretty spot, surrounded by red cliffs. Pretty much no Verizon signal at all.

We arrived in Moab just in time for a snow storm! We stayed here 2 nights rather than risk getting stuck on a dirt road. It was great! Fairly dark in the back corner. Road noise and semis idling was unavoidable. Bathroom are clean and open 24/7. We would stay again.

We're spending the night here. We arrived about 4 hours ago, and it was (and still is) filled with semis that all have their engines running. I hope it won't disturb my sleep too much, but I'll update in the morning.

Useful but noisy with trucks and generators.
Was not sure if spots in Moab were ok and safe, so I went here.

Good for a night. Wasnt ever disturbed and not too noisy. Barely any cell service though, at least with Verizon

Picturesque rest stop right off the highway. Woke up at five and the entire parking lot was jam packed with semi trucks, vans, cars — a popular place to stay. A little noisy in the evening with people coming and going, but quiet at night. Bathrooms, vending machines, picnic shelters, pet area, and trash bins.

The cleanest porta-potties I’ve ever seen! Lots of trucks parked over night and a few smaller vehicles as well. A bit of truck noise overnight but wasn’t bothersome for us. A nice place to overnight for visits to Arches

Tent camping only allowed on opposite side of road. For two wheeled vehicles follow the sign for Kane Creek down (steep but short track) to a treed, flat, secluded area. Traffic noise all night so earplugs recommended.

Small rest area between Arches & Canyonlands. Quite a few people parking overnight, which is permitted per Utah's laws. Bathrooms were clean & there were vending machines. Almost no service with both Verizon & TMobile.
