This is the last official campsite at Keller Peak going uphill. Nice setting, good views. The site fits a 25 ft rig on a level spot. Tent space for a few tents. There's one picnic table and one fire ring. Additional cars may be parked at a pullout around the corner.
To get up here you don't need 4wd. But the road in parts is steep and rough and is dried mud for the last part.
Good reception of T-Mobile 4G.
Be aware: it's high altitude (7.400 ft/2.250m). May get chilly in the night!
NOTE: Forestry Dept. will close access to all Keller's Peak Yellow Post Sites during snow season.

Epic views, a short walk to the fire pit and bench, many little flying bugs, about a 5-minute drive to the tower at the top of the mountain. Would definitely come back! Very peaceful
Report Check-InDidn’t camp at this camp spot specifically, but a little further up the road is a beautiful clearing overlooking the valley. It was quiet, peaceful & very pretty. Would definitely camp here again - Mrmrsoverlander
Report Check-InAmazing spot!!! Even better if you have a tent. Epic spot near big bear. It would fit two cars.
Report Check-InWe actually stayed at #8, big spot with flat areas, picnic table is 90% of the day in the shade, which is nice, BUT there must be a bee and wasp (both!) nest somewhere! They we kinda annoying during dinner, but not aggressive, so we didn’t mind.
Report Check-InThis is one of the best campsites to get at Keller's Peak. Be aware though, this campsite (as well as most of the others) get claimed fast and are usually full during the weekends. The campsites are completely dry camping, but there are pit toilets located at the entrance of Children's Forest which is on the opposite side of KP site #9. Fire restrictions are usually in place during Summer, but propane is usually allowed.
Report Check-InAlthough there is no show in the area the road is still closed due to winter.
Report Check-InA bit tricky to get a flat spot for the van but this would be an epic tent site! Great views and an ideal sunset location.
