Overnight parking at the end of the bumpy track to Struisbaai Flat. There are nice Sand Dunes and an endless white beach without any people. Very quiet and safe.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
I'd be weary and take caution with your valuables as their is a poor area 1.5kms away from this location
Report Check-InIt definitely is a top spot.
The sandy track goes up and down for a few but the sand is quite compact so not a big challenge !
Great reward when you reach the beach.
Great place to stay when it is not too windy. Only 4x4 to cross the dune!
We stayed during the afternoon on a dirt track leading apart from the main track, waiting the wind to slow down, than we crossed the dune to sleep on the beach between the marked area (poles). Awsome!
we slept in the bush 1 kilometer inland because it was too windy. very quiet and safe. nobody around. very beautiful landscape with white dunes. perfect for 1 night.
Report Check-InIt is legal park here as long as you take the dirt road over the dune and don't drive on the beach. The legal parking is separated from the beach by wooden poles, see pictures. We found out because a guy from the government came and asked whether we had come from the beach or from the dune. From the dune is fine, from the beach is not.
Report Check-InGood location if not too windy, near the sea. There’s a sign that says no vehicle allowed but that’s past the wooden poles. We saw many 4x4s ignoring this and just staying and driving round the coast anyway. Good 4g. Deep sand dune to cross, we aired down
Report Check-InQuite place. we drove up and onto the dunes, but the wind was crazy and we opted to drive back to the Bush road 1min back and heading North. Follow the track until you find less wind! quite for the night with good cell signal.
Report Check-Inyou need a 4x4 to reach the nice "parking" area right on the beach, there's a deep sand dune to climb. otherwise you sleep right on the track with no seaview so not really interesting IMO.
Report Check-InVery nice next to the beach between sand dunes.
In the Morning (sunday) a few vehicles passed by to watch the sunrise (which was beautiful coloured). But were not interested in us.
So we think this Place is safe.
