This is a restaurant just outside town which will let you camp in their parking lot. Relatively quiet when we were there, but we don't know how it is in weekends. The owner can also arrange for a tour through the canyon - the local tourist highlight. Price: 110 Cordobas
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
Miserable lot? Only one toilet (in ladies loo) without water. Cost $10 per night to park, meal was OK but the loudest music we have heard so far (incl. Mexico) started at 19.00, later changed to just as loud karaoke and still going at 22.30 (on a Thursday). After 2 border crossings in the rain we wanted a restaurant but wished we had not. Definitely not recommended!

Report Check-InCamping next to a very small Balneario and restaurant / bar. For the Balneario you have to pay an admission fee of 40 Cordoba / person. Toilets with bucket flush. No showers. Not recommended for the weekend - we had a lot of noise and karaoke until late at night.
Alternative option:
At the second entrance of Sumoto Canyon we got the offer to camp. Obviously you can visit the canyon only with a driver (15-20 US dollars / person)
