Cool and quiet spot on the side of Boquete's river and in front of a beautiful waterfall. The spot is also on the side of the road, where a couple farmers pass by during the day. We stayed there a full week.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
As many have already said, great spot on the small river with a waterfall next to it. The water of the river is refreshing and clean. Pleasantly cool temperatures during the day and especially at night! Lots of other visitors during the day, but if you park with the sliding door open facing the river, you won't notice them ;) Very quiet at night.
We felt safe.

Report Check-InWe stayed for three nights at this nice spot. One rainy, quiet day and two days were a local set up his souvenir stand on the other side of the street. Many cars stopped for pictures of the waterfall during the day. We didn't mind but obviously couldn't take our chairs out or get too comfy. showering in the water was great and very refreshing.
Even with our big camper, three other cars could easily park. We'd recommend this spot if you feel lower temperatures than in the mainland.
Stayed 3 nights there and it was perfect. The weather is so fresh, you can swim by the river and even if it’s next to the road you can park and feel like you are by your own.
In our opinion, it’s better than the « Boquete free camp » on IOverlander

as previously mentioned a nice and quiet place but in the end just a pull out directly at the road side. no one came by between 21.30 and 6.00, no neighbours or else and seems more private than the "free camp boquete" down the road. definitely recommend for an overnight
Report Check-InWhat a perfect place to spend the night near Boquete. Very quiet during the night and the day as well. Only people stop sometimes to visit the waterfall.
Report Check-InQuiet spot across from the waterfall next to the river. Very quiet at night. The police do not come by at night but they do come by in the morning to use the pit toilets just beyond the parking area at the next gravel turnout. No issues the two nights we stayed here. Good access to the Pipeline Trail with quetzals and the climbing area at the split with the loop road. 5 minutes to drive into town with all of the services you could possibly want or need. Nice and cool at night at around 5,000 feet elevation
Report Check-InExcellent place between river and waterfall, level, absolutely quiet at night, passed 3 nights here, noone bothered us, police said safe - true :-)
Report Check-InWhen our plans fell through and we were forced to plan B, we went to Las Ramones. It was great. Even though it looked exposed it was so quiet and comfortable there that we were left with big grins on our faces. No one passed us after 10pm. In the morning we continued up to the end of the road at Baru NP and it became clearer why Ramones was such a good spot. It is only farmers up there and the kids run off the road faster than the dogs. When we got to the end at Carlos the Ranger's Cabin. He saw that we slept in our van and offered that we could camp overnight at his cabin for donations. It is an open spot with good exposure to the morning sun and a picnic table.
