October 12: the water was unsafe to drink right now. BTW, there is a dumping station just opposite of the highway to fill up RVs but also not in good quality right now.

Was working as of Sept 11. This spigot is terrible for RV fill ups. It is not threaded, and it’s angled 90 degrees and the end is so stubby that a Water Bandit doesn’t really work. After 15 minutes of getting sprayed with water we gave up after filling the tank with only a few liters.

The sign warning that it’s not for drinking has been removed. They had a problem with all campsite and nearby water lines, but that’s been fixed according to a worker at the visitor center. Although, now, there’s a problem with the visitor center water lines and they currently only offer a water cooler inside the visitor center.
