Description

This is a well-kept secret, out of the tourists way. La Mancha is a very little village with access to a big laguna and nice beach. Laguna is rich in fish, oysters, clams, shrimps, and a good place to swim in ideal temp water. Many restaurants on the beach. Possible to boondock on beach. At 800 meters from beach is this Campamento, under huge mango trees. Also 7 round cabañas. The place belongs to a community group, with eco-environment on their mind. Room for a few RVs, possible to connect, clean toilets and showers cold and hot, small botanical garden +/- well kept and nursery in the back. Very quiet and secure place. 150 pesos per person as of Feb 2023.

Nice people, HOT water. Good Food. Need I say more. This cute little eco camp/cabin spot was a wonderful reset point. If you plan on camping here, you enter through the second set of gates if traveling from the freeway. If coming from the ocean side you use the first set just in front of the sign and furthest from the restaurant. The second set of gates are where the vehicle campers enter and is large enough for a commercial bus to enter and probably even turn around with a 3 or 4 point turn depending on other vehicles. They also have cabins to rent, a nice restaurant and clean bathroom with hot water showers, at least on the woman’s side while we were there. Per my husband, no hot water on the men’s side. No electric or water hookups were obvious. I would stay here again. Contact info on the picture of the sign.

150$/person is too expensive for only camping at this place. We were woken up at 7am by workers rehabilitating the roofs. There are plenty of mango to pickup as a consolation.

Beautiful and quiet place to spend a night or more. It is definitively still open, with very large and well kept grounds, clean facilities (toilet paper, toilet seats, hand soap and hand towel) It also has a big sink to wash dishes or clothes but the outdoor showers have no water currently. The huge mango trees provide much needed shade (and I was still able to find a spot to get starlink reception). I couldn’t find an electrical socket to plug in but you may be able to plug into one of the cute cabanas if you ask. The only downside was the huge spider nests in the shower with hundred of long legged spiders coming out when I turned on the water…I will mention it to the keeper and hopefully this will be fixed, or resolved on its own if more people use the shower more often (it is low season here in Feb)

Didn’t stay here but ate at the restaurant twice. The last day we ate an overland vehicle with EU plates arrived so they still do allow overlanders. Lovely staff in the kitchen and delicious food!

Paid 80 pesos to camp in my tent.

Very nice and calm place, huge mango trees, lots of birds, and some fireflies. Clean bathroom, very nice staff.

The restaurant food is good and cheap, paid 50pesos for 4 empanadas and a drink.

Only down side, on that night it got really windy despite the trees, some 40k gusts. I had to set my tent behind my car. I don't know if this is regular or not in this area.

We stayed 2 nights with our 25´ long/10’ high rv. 70 pesos/pp per night. Nice place near the beach (10-15 min walk from there). Friendly staff. We cooked our food but they let us use their chairs, tables and sinks for washing dishes even if we didn’t eat at their restaurant. They even let us enjoy the place under the palapas after it was closed (6:30pm).

Nice place next to the shore. Friendly staff. We forgot to take our chairs and table with us when we went shopping for some hours in Veracruz. When we came back, we thought they were stolen but the staff kept them save for us instead.
