The RV sites are closed mid-October until mid-April but the tent spots and large gravel parking lot are open and FREE during this time. Electric and water turned off. Three of us (Sprinter, Trailer, and Truck Camper) spent the night last night. The trains go by every 1-2 hours and there are 3 of them that are around 20 min after each other. Even with ear plugs in, I was constantly being woken up and left after the first night.
Otherwise, it was a nice spot along the river. Pretty and calming views.
3 bars good Verizon LTE w/o booster up
Report Check-InIn 2022 fees were charged from May 15 - Oct 15 ($14 and $20). After that they offer “primitive camping”. Only the non-electric tent sites were available, loop with RV appropriate sites was closed off. We parked our RV with tow vehicle in the large parking area. Nice view of river. One other vehicle came and camped in tent area. Frequent trains passed by - tracks cross the only road into this recreation site, and are very close to the park.
