A few hundred yards off main road so you do hear some car noise but very mild. Definitely less noise then a Walmart. I parked just after the big tree past the main area. There are a few spots even further down the road.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
A little further down the road is a big tree with a spot behind it just big enough for a van. Between the tree and the distance from the highway, there's practically zero road noise.
Report Check-InNice rest stop alternative. still road noise and a lot of trash but for a quick one night stay was good.
Report Check-InGravel road with pullouts on the right side. Large fields on the left side. Along the Red River, which you can’t really see. There’s a park on the other side of the street with River access. Woke to a gutted rabbit outside our camper, maybe from all the coyotes we heard last night. We usually pick up garbage where we stay, but chose to leave the rabbit. 🤷🏻♀️ Good cell reception and even a couple local tv channels. 3 bars AT&T.
Report Check-InGood wild camping spot. Nice wide turnouts off a gravel road. Please note that only the first 3 or 4 are public; there is a large circular spot further down that is private property. The owner was polite when he asked me to park elsewhere.
Also note - it was sugar beet harvest season, a 24/7 activity meaning trucks rumbling down that gravel road all night.
Also also note - there were large muddy areas in the turnouts. But all in all, a fine place to spend the night.
Report Check-Innice pull off. good cell service, reasonable quiet being only 100 yards from the road.
Report Check-InGot kicked out by a person who lives on this road lol they were very rude about it. I thought midwesterners were supposed to be nice
