National Park campground in the Ozark National Scenic Riverway. Reservations are accepted but there are designated first-come first-served only sites and any reservable site that isn’t booked, dates are posted on site posts, can be occupied by paying cash via the onsite envelopes. 4 loops, one has electric, all have central water and access to bathrooms. A shower house is separate, located on the campground access road, as is a dump station. Booking online costs $22 for electric and $19 non-electric, paying onsite costs $19 for electric and $16 non-electric. There is access to the current river, spring-fed, for swimming and tubing. Big Spring is located near the entry to the park but is for viewing only, swimming is not permitted in the spring. A lodge with restaurant is located within the park but we did not visit it. Great park and a welcome reprieve from the heat.

Self check in. NO hot water until new facility opens. Grassy sites. Half full on Friday night
Report Check-InGood cell service in the 200s camping loop. Figured that out after trying a lot of different places in the park.
Prices went up, self-pay service station non-electric sites are $20, electric is $30. All info on recreation.gov.
Be sure to check out all the details of this great national park at recreation.gov.
Lots of construction ongoing including the shower houses, only one building in the group camping section offers ice cold showers.
Well maintained & beautiful, one of my favorite places in Missouri. Worth it to stay several days and plan a float/kayak down the Current River with a local outfitter.
Campground sites 419/420/421 are close to a short path to the gorgeous river.
Clean and well maintained. Came in December so there were two other people here.
Backcountry group camping was closed, hot showers were closed, and a lot of the loops were closed so only 100s ($10, standard non electric) and 200s ($20, standard electric) were open which is fine considering how little people there were. Bathroom on the 200 loop was open. Unsure about the other sites.
Self service pay center. 3-4 bars of T-Mobile 5G
