Beautiful secluded spot towards the top of a mountain. Will need decent clearance as the unestablished road has rocks and little dropoffs. You will come to a bend after a large clearing with an old mining building (?) and see a road offshoot to the side. Picture included

Though it was August we woke up to 40° lots of dew. It rained it was a bit muddy in the roads fine This is 11,460 feet of elevation and this flatlander had trouble sleeping. The extra 2000 feet makes a difference. The road is OK but to be uninitiated it may be a bit intimidating. We entered from the south off 550 and will continue the loop and exit north on 550. Very quiet a few cars and quads.
Report Check-InThought August woke to 40 degrees and lot of dew. Rained yesterday a bit muddy but the road was fine. At 11,460 feet of elevation this flat lander did not sleep well. Weird the extra 2000’ makes a difference. Very quiet, a few quads drove by and cars. But this site is quite a bit off the road.
The drive is not hard but to the uninitiated may be intimidating. This is a loop drive. We entered off 550 from Silverton and will exit in the north.
