Description
iOverlander cannot verify if wild camping is permitted at this location. It is your responsibility to verify local laws or obtain consent before staying the night.
Pretty much the only place in town where you can legally park overnight, as the city bylaws explicitly say no street parking. Sign states “parking at own risk”, I’m guessing this is because of how soft the dirt becomes when it rains. I stayed 1 night and have a Honda CR-V and was fine.
There is an RV dump station about 50m down the road (well indicated with signs), a public bathroom at the dock (5 min walk) and 3 free wifi access points around town: the dock, the town rec center and the town gym (all within 1km of this spot and all seem to have a solid connection, no password required). I’m not sure if I should add these as amenities as they aren’t technically on-site, but if you’re reading this, you know they’re there
There’s enough space for 5-6 regular-sized vans or 1-2 medium campers, but again, be careful not to sink in the dirt.
Please leave this spot cleaner than when you arrived!
