Great camping! I was there on a Sunday night, so not as much traffic as there might be over a weekend. There are a lot of ATV trails around the area so the traffic from that was noticeable until about 11 PM. I had one to two bars of AT&T service, very clean area! I went in my pick up truck, some pull off spots might be a little tight for trailers or bigger rigs. No fee. Pack in and out!
Report Check-InDrive up the easy main dirt road and pick a spot. Areas where camping is not allowed are clearly marked otherwise pick a fire ring close to the road or pick a side track. This is a great refuge from summer heat.
Report Check-InA lot of available parking along the road.Very quite and secluded.I had a great night sleep and hiked Mt.Elbert the next morning. There is a river running near by with very cold and clean water ideal to take a bath in.T mobil signal and internet was weak but usable!
Report Check-InTons of dispersed camping with fire rings all along the road before and after the pin
Report Check-InLove this area! Many free/dispersed camping along this road. We were not able to get one on the creek but the view of Mt. Massive made it worth it.
Report Check-InAnother great area for dispersed camping! We stayed several days and would definitely come back. There are many campsites along this road. Some along the creek some not. But still very nice.
