There are now signs that say no overnight parking. Shame

While it’s a park parking lot it’s used as a commuter lot in the morning with workers showing up around 6 am - lot does fill up after that but was fairly empty when arrived at 10pm. 2 portapotties - one at each end of lot.

Report Check-In

A city employee stopped by and said there is no overnight camping in city parks. Good for free day parking though. Many of the parking lots by the harbor do not allow RV'S or campers.

Definitely find somewhere else to park. Yes, it appears that it is allowed but I left at 11:00 at night and moved to a Walmart due to the fact that there were two people doing drugs there. I watched them walk up to a car, then over to what was an empty shell of a porta potty and go inside together. They were clearly already high at that point. The parking area was littered with trash and so was the park. I didn’t feel safe there.

As described! I stayed here my first night in Portland & then stealth camped the next nights. It was quiet enough, had cell signal, etc.

As a little van who can stealth park relatively easily - Portland had plenty of street parking for me & I favor that route; but this park is probably perfect for bigger rigs!

Great location. We arrived really early to get a good spot for the rig. 23’. We just fit. Backed in overlooking the cove. Expensive grocery right across the street. Old Port is just 1.1 mile away. We walked there no problem. Locked up & left it parked for a few hours. Ordered pizza delivered to the parking lot. Didn’t overstay our welcome. Left early to beat traffic. Felt we could have stayed one more night.

Good spot to stay a night close to Portland.

We stayed in Portland for 2 weeks due to some errands. Between this spot, bug light and Walmart, we had no problems!

We didn’t stay more than 2 nights in a row, but we probably stayed a total of 5 or 6 nights here.

We enjoyed walking the trail.

Porta pottie on site(not the cleanest we’ve seen) and across the street is a grocery.

Report Check-In

Parking lot for Back Cove Trail, spent here a night, no one bothered us, gets crowded in the morning.

There is a grocery store right across the street.
