This spot has multiple spots with fire rings scattered about. The first couple areas you come to would be good for larger rigs, but the road does have some corrosion after you pass the first 3-4 fire pits. If you continue straight and go all of the way back on the left, there’s a really cool area that would be great for a small group. I have T-Mobile and had zero service.

Spent a short period of time here. I’d highly recommend it - particularly the first couple of spots. They are flat and deep and have fire rings. They also face west. The surface is a bit rutted with pit holes but nothing too bad. I have a 4x4 sprinter. Used 2x4. Fine. Just go slowly. I left after sunset because zero signal and u needed to do some work. This is a dispersed campground on BLM land. Pretty perfect really and seemed very safe.
Report Check-InBLM dispersed camping in designated campsites. There are about a dozen sites all with metal fire rings. No tables, bathroom or water. A pit toilet is located about two miles down the road at Hecla Junction, if you have a State Park pass.
Quiet location. Dogs on leash rule applies. Pack in pack out. We are given locations like this one to enjoy nature. It will only last as long as we "leave no trace" including doggie clean up.
Entrance and road into sites is severely rutted. No big rig space unless you take the first spot and want the contents of it shaken.
Verizon has three bars.
Report Check-InNice quit campsite.
BLM Land=Free
Designated campsites with fire rings.
No trash cans or picnic tables so pack out what you pack in.
Roughly 8 other campers here on a Tuesday. Beautiful night sky, beautiful sunrise.

Nice, free, boondocking spot with fire pit and large boulders marking the sutes. Big horn sheep graze here. A couple of the first sites were big enough for our truck and 19 ft travel trailer.
Report Check-InAs described. Several spots for all types of rigs. Road fine when dry for larger rigs when wet would be problematic for the lower sites.
Road noise during the day in upper sites. Close to Salida and BV.
Beautiful vistas and stars. Free with fire pits only.
1-2 bars verizon
it's before Dan’s Land's a dirt road not much space for bus but great spot to stop for a night no shade no amenities some nosie from the highway but not to bad Beware lots of fire ants hills
Report Check-InBLM land with a beautiful view of mountains. I have a 31ft trailer and I parked in the front a little on a slant. Dirt road goes further but I wouldn't recommend for larger rig. Fire pits, clean, very well spaced out without crowding. The paved road to come into this spot goes all the way down to Arkansas river which was beautiful!!! will def come again!
Report Check-InEasy access, pretty area lots of parking. I used this as a quick overnight.
Report Check-InThis area was great for a night! The pups had a great time stretching their legs. Pet owners be aware of cacti scattered around! Do not let your dog get off off the dirt and they are safe.
