Description

Camping no longer allowed
Caraz is a good place to spend a night if you're coming from the north via Cañon del Pato. Los Pinos has a few grassy gardens in the back of the property where you can camp. It costs an extra 5 soles per night to park in the secured lot next to the camping area. The rooms were expensive, so look elsewhere if you aren't camping. Electricity in the restaurant.

Now called Casona Lara. Located in large white hacienda next to the church. Wonderful stay in place with helpful friendly staff. Very quiet with secure parking, average WiFi and hot showers

Hotel. Really nice old house like the best hotels. Luis, the owner is to friendly and tour guide with really good knowledge. He produces destilado de Agave (familiar of requila). Place for have a good rest. Prices like Hotel 4starts.

Report Check-In

We were two up on our bike and stayed here for two nights to recover from some tough rising through the mountains. This was well over our normal budget of 40s per night for accommodation at 160s.... but it was well worth it. The rooms were wonderful, clean, nice hot showers, great beds and bedding. The hotel area is secure and quite.... no barking dogs or early morning Roosters. The price included a great breakfast (as you would expect). Overall we had a great stay, to recharge the battery's before heading North

Report Check-In

we visit the place, but there is no space at the lodge areal for RV's. so we moved to the very nice campground Guadelupe, a little bit outside from town.

Report Check-In

We were kicked out of our room after 17:00 to make space for the owners family who had no reservation. We were not even allowed to speak to the owner on the phone. Very disappointed at how guests get treated.

Report Check-In

Very expensive but looks very good. We tried to stay in the lodge but they only had a suite left for 280S. Luckily they made a plan for us in a backpackers opposite the lodge, which (I think) is also owned by the same business. We managed to park our bikes in the secure parking behind Los Pinos and the backpackers was great, clean, empty and only cost 20S pp. we were allowed to use the lodges wifi---

Don't waste your time. Rude and opportunistic. First bad interaction of the trip. Found another great spot we have posted nearby.
