quiet night stay. 1 other RV overnighting here as well

Report Check-In

This is a perfect place to crash in your camper for the night! there were 6 other really nice camper vans in the lot when I arrived and I left at 9am. No problem. just don't litter or be rude and we can keep this place as an Outer Banks sanctuary for travelers.

Report Check-In

Definitely the best rest stop ever. Restrooms are pristine, fragrant, and musical! The parking spaces are private and sheltered from the road noise by greenery. I was the only rig, some car sleepers. No one bothered. Great overnight off-season.

stayed here one night with no issues. a couple other cars/trucks in the lot. clean bathrooms!

Report Check-In

We stayed last night in our truck camper and had no issues and would stay there again - it was really quiet and pretty much on our own - well lit and taken care of

Report Check-In

Super clean and calm, I wish we had more places like this!

Report Check-In

Stayed one night in the off season. Barely any traffic or anyone else around. Pulled in at 6:30pm and there were two cars in the lot but no one around. Quiet night’s stay. Would stay again. Sign says no camping but nothing at all that specifies no overnight parking. The other outer bank rest area on manteo specifically says no overnight parking, so I think here it is fine and allowed.

Report Check-In

This is a state rest area with 24 hour restrooms and plenty of parking for overnight travelers.

Report Check-In

Nice well lit place to stay. Relatively quiet and definitely very convenient. Plenty of space available during off season.

Report Check-In

As described very nice quiet rest area at visitor's center. A few other campers over night, large parking area, clean facilities open throughout the night, guest wifi available just outside visitor's center. Spent one night with no issues.

Report Check-In

This was a great place to stay. Convenient location and quiet at night. I arrived late and left early and picked up some litter. I hope we don't mess this up. Restrooms among the cleanest public restrooms ever. I believe they were left open at nigh. I commend the community for this great asset.

Report Check-In

Parked here overnight with no problems their were about 6 other cars there very clean restrooms

Report Check-In

slept here for one night, will defently say this is one of the best places to park overnight in outerbanks, it is quite, dark and there is other campers too, for me that always feel safe! clean bathroom, big parking lot. it is only a 10 min drive to nags head, and there you have everythigf you need.
this place is only a few minutes walk to a beach and free showers (outdoor showes). and I think you can stay here many nights! would 100% come back! and it is free! (in the summer, almost every parking lot in outerbanks do not accept overnight parking, and the campgrounds you need to pay atleast 20 dollers per night.

Report Check-In

Nice quiet night, except for the howling winds. One other van I saw stayed the night. Very clean.

Report Check-In

Stayed the night. We were joined by a few people other vans. We were told later the next day by the police that we aren’t allowed to stay overnight. That’s mostly because we had our slides outs open and were unhooked for a while.

Report Check-In

Great overnight spot. Restrooms are very clean. Noises from the main road but not a big deal.

Report Check-In

This is a very clean, quiet, safe place to stay. There were about 5 vehicles that parked overnight here
