Description

Free campsite along the Mississippi, several established spots. Directly at the River, good spot for viewing the Ships.
Entrance is a little bit hidden in the bushes and goes over the rail road tracks, be careful with long vehicles for the break over angle.

Latest Check-Ins

Only 1 other camper here. Train horn noise, but really didn't bother us. Fire pits at some sites, no bathrooms or trash cans.

Report Check-In

13 newly paved sites and a boat ramp. Some train and barge traffic. But mostly enjoyed the water snake that would swim by every ten minutes. Verizon LTE two bars works for streaming.

Wonderful view of the Mississippi just feed away. Water is very high today. there is only a fire ring, no picnic tables, and no restrooms. Must be self contained. FREE!

this is such a nice campground. newly paved campsites, well spaced, fire pits, right on the Mississippi River with great views, wooded all around. there was one more camper when we got here. Very peaceful and quiet.

Nice spot. We are the only camper for tonight. Train is near and does sound its horn, but doesn't run often at night.

Report Check-In

Beautiful long sites. Train tracks right beside the park, train runs several time during the day only a couple times during the night. can stay up to 14 days. Hiking trails just up the road about a mile or so.

Also called Silo Access Area. Beautiful sites along the river. After a couple of fishermen pulled their boats in and left, we were all alone. Occasional rain traffic.

what a fantastic spot! shelterd by a lush island and on a bend of the river with good size hills on the distance, it is a really scenic spot on the Mississippi..and then a total
kick to see the occasional massive barge go by. we had the most incredible sunset. on a Sunday night only 3 of the roughly 10 sites were full and even if full it would be spacious. nice level gravel spots for any length rig.no real amenities but a fire ring, lovely all the same. verizon got 1-2 bars of 4g.
