Description

I only saw the southbound rend lake rest area on here, but then when I put it into Waze it showed a North Bound rest stop. I’ve not been inside yet as we arrived at 2am just to sleep, but my kiddo did use their restrooms so I know they’re open late. The rest stop was just about 90% full when we got here, but we found a place just fine. We’re in a 40’ skoolie, but the car areas were about 90% full as well. It is the 4th of July though. I was hesitant to stay at a rest stop bc all the other rest stops I had been to on the east coast usually say 2 hour stay only, but we didn’t see any such sign (again it’s dark and we’re tired) but it’s obvious all these semi trucks and cars are staying the night.

Latest Check-Ins

The highway seems further away at this rest stop and we had a good night sleep. We have a short Pro Master and parked in the car area. The parking for longer vehicles was very busy. Nice little park to stretch the legs and very clean bathrooms.

car and semi parking. semitrucks fill the lot in the evening. a simple rest stop. a few vending machines. difficult for RVs. I had to park on the car side. semi/tractor trailers filled the tractor trailer side, to include the ramps.
clean rest stop.

Report Check-In

Well-maintained rest stop with vending machines and restrooms, a dog walk area and several paths if you want to get a little walk in, also covered picnic areas with tables and lots of shady areas. Not sure if you can stay here overnight

Report Check-In

not a lot of shade in the early evening, otherwise similar to most other rest areas, I was tempted to do a bit of backtracking and hit the southbound rest area. Google maps listed an 18 minute drive time from here to there. 3 bars of Verizon

Nice and quiet even though it’s 90% full at 2am on 4th of July. Room for semi’s and obvious 90% of the vehicles here are staying the night.
