Very beautiful place with a nice overlook. Sun is plenty during the day for solar panels as easy to west is across the valley. Road in isn’t too bad and any 2nd can make it. Nice little stone fire pit as well. 4x4 rooftop rigs bring shade!
Report Check-InFantastic Views!
Stop and look here even if you don't stay. 360°views of the area and the Gunnison River. rocky road in, just go slow 2.4 miles in and worth it. Good Verizon coverage. Watch it if it rains road might go to mush. Stars! Did I say stars? Wow! This will raise the bar for your next campsite! Fire pits and level camping. Enjoy YOUR land!
Excellent spot with a great view. Plenty of pullouts along the road, and the road is in worse shape the further you go. Saw four other people
Report Check-InVisited on a whim but loved it so much I stayed until I ran out of supplies (3 days). Incredible overlook of canyons, mesa, snow capped rockies and the foothills themselves. The stars at night are also unparalleled. It's a nature conservation so please remember to pack out all trash, don't burn plastic, don't harvest live plants for firewood, and bury your poop properly. 6-8 inches.
Report Check-InBeautiful sites with amazing views right along the edge of the canyon. Super dark nighttime views. Can’t believe this site isn’t more popular. We kept driving past the coordinate listed above until we found a spot we liked. Highly recommend.

Report Check-InUnbelievable view of the canyon. Feel like camping at a place that would usually be fenced off with bus loads of tourists.
Rocky road to access. Made it with low clearance sedan so no need for 4X4 as long as you take it slow.
