There are two at this spot. Opposite sides of the road and far enough apart for privacy. One is a drive-in site and the other is a tent site with almost level parking. (You have to straddle the run off a bit if car camping.) Pisgah has a notice on the road that camping is allowed only where posted. Many pull off spots, but fewer designated camps. I took the first empty one I came to, i.e. the tent site here. The tent site has a fire ring and is very level. Rocks prevent driving up onto the site. Stayed one night. I did not look at the drive-in site as it was occupied. Both have the designated sign, which I will attach here as well.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
“All Access is Prohibited Until Further Notice Due To Hazardous Conditions Caused By a Natural Disaster”
I just parked by the barrier that said that overnight, close to the main road, and was not troubled.
