we slept one night in our car in this parking. it was quiet and no problems. some people working at the dock arrived before 7am, thzy are a little bit noisy but didnt say anything!
there are clean toilets in the garden
Was a good spot till police knocked on my window at 2am saying no overnight parking or camping. Place closes at dusk so this place is a no go. So sad I was super excited but came to a near by boat launch parking area they led me to that I’ll post here. But this spot is a no go
Report Check-InNice little park by the marina and information center. Multiple restaurants/bars within walking distance. Good view of the marina. Verizon & T-Mobile decent service.
Report Check-InLovely spot to spend a night and then explore this wonderful little village. Lots of restaurants, night life and the whole boating and "marina" life feel. You can put anything you have that floats in here too.
As far as signage: the little park with playground is "dawn to dusk" and there's another sign stating it closes at 10pm. These signs have nothing to do with the parking lot itself. Not sure of the washroom situation as we are self-contained.
Great find!
Report Check-Instayed a night without issue. there are two large lots with plenty of parking space. the restrooms were open all night when I was here. good Verizon cell service.
Report Check-Inpublic parking next to dawn to dusk kids park, within easy walking of several restaurants.
no signs declaring no overnight parking and several other vans were using this spot too. we visited in summer and the breeze from the lake was cooling in comparison to the 90 daytime heat. there is also free street parking between 6pm and 6am with 2 hr limit so in a bind you could effectively stay there overnight, until 8am.
3 very clean potta potties for 24hr use.
During the day the sodus beach lot (other nearby wild camping icon which is marked closed) can be used which has outdoor beach showers and lake ontario to swim/ bathe in.
