Nice State Game Management Area just off of I-94. Free camping. Plenty of room. Some noise from the interstate but not too bad. These sites are on both sides of the lake with standard clean vault toilets (w/tp), and trash barrel on outside of bldg. A few sites have picnic tables and fire rings. There is also a fishing pier on the east side of the lake. 4 bars Verizon LTE.

Very welcoming State Game Management Area w/ standard clean vault toilets on both sides of the lake. Large sites and some smaller tent sites.

Nice to rest for the night if you’re passing thru. Be careful though place is full of ticks so if you have a dog not a great stop to let them out.

Copious signage… the fine print indicates that NO camping is allowed on Tuesday or Wednesday unless it’s a holiday.

Picayune? Sure, but I expect the locals (in the adjoining nice neighborhoods) don’t want folks living there.

Rather than risk harassment by someone with nothing better to do on a Tuesday night, I just moved on down the road to a Flying J. Can’t see the night sky as well, but Flying J has snakes galore!

free camping! however the level of road noise is very high. I didn't sleep at all. I think due to the bugs and noise this is best for self-cointained rigs or very heavy sleepers haha. there's a pit toilet. check the ground before setting up too. in the last gravel pullout and spot there was a tampon and used condom. safe to say I moved to another site.

Very nice place, seems to be kept up well. Especially for being free. NOTE: the sign on the front says no camping Tuesday or Wednesday. Probably so it can be mowed. I have 2 dogs and they have plenty of space to roam before meeting another campsite (which also has free roaming dogs)

Several places to park. Some with picnic tables and fire pits. The lake was pretty and there were some fishing. Good stop over place. Near I-94. I have AT&T and phone service was poor.

Lovely, hidden gem. Nice, level spots. Great place for a night or the weekend.

Report Check-In

Nice area on a lake near I-94. Tent camping here is a little rough because of the interstate, but if you're in an RV or van, it would be a decent area with easy access to the Expressway. Fire rings and picnic tables are available at a few of the campsites. Some of the spots are very large because they are small turn around spots, so any RV should be able to find a spot here for the night. No camping available on Tuesdays or Wednesdays according to the signs at the entrance.

This place is such a hidden gem! Keep driving down the road to see all of the campsites. We chose the one by the monument on the hill since the others were either taken or surrounded with goose poop. Great Verizon reception!
