Lovely spot by the river. This seems to have once been an official Rec Site but now just a wild camp spot by the river. There are several sites and lots of room for several rigs. There are a couple of access points to the river, but one of them is clearly used by the rafting companies to launch tours, so don't park in such a way as to block them.
Access is down a steep-ish dirt road that is a tiny bit rutted in places but most overlanding vehicles should be OK. While we were there a couple of old schoolie buses came down full of rafters and towing trailers full of rafts and gear. If they can make it, anyone can. Hunt around in the trees to find a couple of old long-drop toilets. There are a few fire rings and a couple of picnic tables. Otherwise no facilities and free.

A curious place, it was obviously used in the past for something, but not actively. There are some tin roof roof shelters along the river and a couple outhouses and a car that caught fire. But, there was no one here so we continued to drive down that main rocky road and parked about 10 ft from the river on the beach area, hung out all day and it was amazing. Lots of rafters coming by on the river that will wave at you, so be friendly and wave back lol. A big black bear walked up towards our van in the afternoon. Two other vans showed up late in the evening, there is room for many people to camp up above the river in the field area. Very cool, about 45mins from lake Louise. Easy access off the highway going east, you’ll need to make a uturn if you’re headed west.
Report Check-InVery nice spot right by the river accessible for most vehicles! It was indeed an old camping place so there’s a lot of cute little private spots in the forest before the river. On the river it would probably fit 3/4 vehicles for everyone to get their privacy.
Fire pits but not tables unfortunately. There’s a little bench on the beach tho! Would camp here again, very nice.
Beautiful spot with a lot of sites. saw 3 other people and 1 bear over 2 days there. The train runs by across the river, but not too loud. Beach access to very cold water.
Report Check-InReally nice spot with enough level ground for any sized rig but with a steep grade to go down. Ground quite alright absolutely no problem in 2wd van and had some smaller RVs down here this night. nice river for trout fishing, some established firepits.
