This is a very quiet spot at 7,800 ft. The spot I stayed was pretty far from the pavement with a little rough road at the end, but there are spots closer to highway 84 if you don't want to go that far. I went up over the top of the hill so I could get cell reception. 1 bar of Verizon, but it was a good bar with internet and reliable voice. If you don't go up over the top there is no cell reception at all.

Great spot on the right, on top of the hill. About 2 miles uphill on FR 653, from us84. Surrounded by woods. No service. The weather was dry but the road will be muddy in heavy rain. Stayed one night.
Report Check-InBEWARE! If there has been a LOT of rain, enough to thoroughly soak the road, it is VERY easy to get stuck. I was in my 4x4 sprinter, with good tires, driving very slow and slowly slid into the ditch when there was a slight incline. The mud is the clay type that keeps sticking and building on the tires. I was fortunate enough to be on a hill. It took me 30 min of very slow backing up before I could get my wheels out of the ditch and escape that road!
There has been a LOT of rain this week. The road otherwise looks very well maintained and would probably be great in normal conditions.
Report Check-InPulled in around 630 on 10/6, road closed gate was up, assuming for the season
Report Check-InThis is a really beautiful, secluded spot that felt safe. there's a spot closer to the highway that overlooks a beautiful hill but I drove in at night and you could definitely drive off a cliff for that one. The campsite I stayed at with these coordinates felt safe and private. Highly recommend.
