Something not right?

Description

Medium-sized gravelled parking lot near the river. No sign prohibiting overnight parking. We stayed there 2 days during Stampede and no one came bothering us. A bit noisy because of the road nearby but ok for a free spot in Calgary. Downtown is 15min by bike.

It's an horrible place!! So close to the freeway so very noisy, and everybody can see you are parked there. Feel very vulnerable. The road is very damaged, lot of huge holes. Looks like a place where you gonna be killed during the night. We moved as soon we arrived. I don't recommend at all

Report Check-In

Looked a little sketchy, but ended being a peaceful stay. The highway noise wasn't so bad at all and my dogs got a good walk through the park and trails.

Report Check-In

Just as described. Right by the freeway...

Report Check-In

Decent spot for one nighter, close to the road, some trash flying around. Quiet night with hum from the highway.

Report Check-In

Okay spot in a pinch and especially if you don’t want to deal with being stealth on a residential street. It’s totally exposed to the highway so you’re not hidden at all. Road noise wasn’t terrible (consistent sound is easier to tune out). No one bothered us. There was one other van parked that night.

Report Check-In

Good place near downtown. Put our tents and a camper here, no one bothered us. A bit noisy tough.
The Children of the Earth approve.

Report Check-In

A bit difficult to find the entry at night but the spot is ok. Not a lot of spot in Calgary, so be respectful!
