Something not right?

Description

This is a small pull out in the Navajo nation. Marked on Google maps.
It is a dirt lot with spots to park under trees. Close to the freeway so you do hear that noise but the only place on a long stretch to rest at.

Previous comments aren't wrong... there is a bunch of broken glass around, but I had a nice night here with a great sunset and sunrise. Road quieted down eventually. Good spot for a quick overnight

Good spot when you're passing by. Quiet despite being not so far from the road.
Fine with a 2WD Sprinter Van.

good overnight spot before visit to Monument Valley, some traffic on the highway

I want to suggest not using this spot especially if coming in at dark. I went and checked it and it's simply worse than the Burger King in Kayenta.
The entrance and the surface are really bad. Extremely rough to get up onto the theoretical camp spot. Anything but a 4x4 (and not with a trailer) is going to bottom out unless extremely careful and the "payoff" is a non-level surface with broken glass and trash all over and it's right next to the highway. The traffic is sporadic but consistent which almost makes it louder - silence, then loud, then silence, etc.

It doesn't say "rest Area" anywhere. No one else was there and it didn't feel comfortable.

I went down to the BK parking lot. It's flat and it seemedike a better option. That said, a pan handler knocked on my window.

All in all I would never stay in this town again boondocking but I hate driving at night and I didn't have other options but for sure the BK seems like the better of the two.

Large area with some trees, just off the highway. some traffic noise. Easy turnarounds. Room for 6 or more.
