Great free camping area next to a river and waterfall with tables, parillas, bathroom and running water. Big rigs may have a little trouble getting here since the road gets narrow and a little steep in areas and there isnt much room to turn around at the end. Very quiet at night.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
It is a nice place but you do have to cross a river. I agree not good for bigger rigs as we did not attempt in our truck camper. Nice spot though if you can get across and up to the camping area. We added a spot down the road that is good for bigger rigs and a short walk to the river. Can also park in an area near the river, but not very level and some lower trees.
Report Check-InGreat spot on the river after visiting the wineries. One toilet kinda flushed, sink had water. Not really a big rig spot and may have water too high sometimes for the water cross right by the camp. At this time about 6” of water. Hike up further and river splits into cold an warmer water.
Report Check-InFantastic campsite near the river. Best camping we had so far, after a month traveling. Shadow, parillas, nice cool water. Toilets are oke: clean enough but no running water, so we brought our own bucket of water ;-) and all for free! We took the road south from the river and had one river crossing near de campsite. Was fine, because the weather is really dry now.
Report Check-InVery nice and well kept Campground. 270 ARS for two kids, two adults and a Campervan.
Clean and hot showers until 21:00 h.
Lovely camping in the top of Cachi. Is locsted next to a river with Running water and a couple of spot with tables and asadores. No place for motorhome and 4WD prefeer. I think is free.
Report Check-InA good advice: From Cachi take the road south of the river instead of north. We took the north: just before the end where the northern road connects with the southern road we had to cross a river. Only possible with high clearance. Short after this, the road comes together with the southern road, but there was 50 cm height difference, so we had to take the shovel to connect the 2 roads.
Just before the camping there is another river to cross, in our case the water was too heigh, above knee-height.
As mentioned bellow, perfect place to relax and make great asado with local vino tinto. Water in the river is refreshing
Report Check-InIncredible. Really nice for tents. Quiet. Free. Basic but clean toilets. It's ok with a motorcycle or a car. Very diffucult for big rigs. Following the path after the camping the street gets even more harder, but it worts the effort.
Report Check-InWhat a jewel! Wonderful spot surrounded by beautiful nature. It's worth to drive a few kilometers out of Cachi to get to this place. It is not easy to get there as the road is in some parts very rocky and steep and you have to cross the river in the end to get there. No big rigs. Toilet was basic but clean. Unbelievable that it's free.
Report Check-InGreat spot, but don't tell anybody ;) Grab a bottle of malbec from one of the vineyards on the drive up.
Report Check-Inwe stayed there two nights. it is cleaned by locala. water ate the tap at tree is potable and of good taste. it was recommended by the locals. quiete. no suitable for big rigs. we maneged well with our sprinter 4x2.
