The best camping we had so far on the mainland. the owners, Moise and Luci, are the sweetest! They were so generous toward us. They welco.ed us like we were family and invited us to discover the beautiful region. Moise was really helpful for booking the tour to visit la cascada de Tamul! would recommend the campground to anyone visiting the area!

Lovely place with the best hosts! A little paradise! Also, the hosts went you to know that they will be absent for a part of the day tomorrow (04/02/2024), but you can still set up camp on the property. You are always welcome!

Great campground in this small village of Tachinchin, we stopped here in the evening and where welcome by Moises and his relatives. He drove us in his car to a small restaurant to eat and we walked back on our own, the village wad really quiete AT this period of the year, also some Us and Canadian RV who stopped for a while. Hot and clean showers, little palapas to Cook and eat outside. the staff IS very helpful and discrete. they also have some rooms to rent. Very good spot if you are going to see the Tamul waterfalls.

We had an amazing time with Lucy and Moses, there were amazing hosts. I had a birthday there and they bought me a cake and made Carne Asada was totally unexpected. Their company was well appreciated. It was sad to leave but we will definitely return in the spring.

Great oasis for overlanders! Its a nice pet friendly camping near Tamul falls. Moises and Lucy made us felt at home right away. Even if they're not around when you get there you can settle in wherever you like no problem. Definitely worth visiting!

Report Check-In

Beautiful spot and very friendly and welcoming hosts. Moses showed us the little creek to swim, which was a good alternative to the Tamul waterfall, which right now is dried out!
Two lovely outdoor kitchens (you have to bring kitchen ware yourself), bathroom and shower. Space for about five to seven cars, depending on the size.

Best place to stay!

We had a wonderful stay in San Luis Potosí in México at this cute little campground. The owners are just wonderful hosts, who made our stay unforgettable. The campground offers showers (hot wáter), toilets, an outdoor kitchen and a small river to cool down..perfect for hot summer days.

¡Muchas gracias por todo!

My husband and I are from California and decided to stay here so we can go see the Tamul waterfall. Met another nice couple camping who were from California as well. Camping is $100MXNpppn. We accidentally went to the campground right next to this one initially so if you want to come here make sure you look for the “Campamento Tiempo y Espacio” sign from the main road before turning. The host Moses and Lucie are incredibly kind and helpful. The campground is not directly on the river but it is very close and has access where you don’t have to cross any roads. Moses took us to the spot where the tour guides are and we were able to join a group and get a tour that evening. The boat tour is $200MXN per person if in a group of at least 8. There are also hiking tours which may be better and can get you closer to the falls. There is a lot to do in the area and this campground has a lot of nice amenities and feels very safe. Highly recommend, would stay again.

Definitely Best place in San Luis Potosi. We are a couple of young French people. When we arrived the owners, Moises and Lucia were not present. But you can settle down without any problem wherever you want on the ground while waiting for their return. We were supposed to stay there for 1 week, then we finally stayed there for 2 weeks so much that we felt good there. there is access to the river, small cabins, fire areas, kitchens, toilets and very clean showers. the owners are exceptional ... the best campsite we've been to in Mexico. Moises was an excellent guide for the Tamul Waterfall. a 10/10.

This is such a wonderful place. We came for 2 days and stayed for 11. Moises and Lucie are some of the kindest people we have met anywhere and we are proud to now call them our friends. The 2 covered camp kitchens are amazing, the bathrooms are clean, the showers are hot. There is even a beautiful river swimming hole nearby to cool off in. Lucie is an amazing cook and her breads are absolutely delicious. Moises is always there to makes sure you have everything you need and can even arrange tours to Tamul waterfall for you. We loved it here and were sad to leave. We will definitely be back. Highly recommended!!!

On recommande vivement 😊

What a fantastic place to hang for a few days. This is one of the best camp grounds I've stayed at. The main reasons are Moises and Lucy. Moises is 'The puta madre'. What he doesn't know about what to see and how to see it in this area probably isn't worth knowing and Lucy is the Gordon Ramsey of Mexico. They made me so welcome, shared their food and knowledge and made me feel part of their lovely family. Thanks again Moises, Lucy and all at Camping Espacio y Tiempo.

Moises is the man! He saved the day after we got stopped by a roped off road trying to hike Tamul (and get to a campground), then given super bad vibes at La Playita by the owner there.

Moises’ place is beautiful. He’s super friendly. Dogs are welcome off leash, and his dog Negrita is really nice and loving. The swimming area by the creek looks like something out of a fairy tale. The palapa structures for cooking are really cool too. Just all around positive and friendly vibes here. Surrounded by sugar cane fields, great for a morning run.

Toilets with toilet paper. Hot shower. $100/p to stay, $200 for me and my girlfriend in our van. We’ll be back on our way south for sure.

Report Check-In

The owners are so cute and giving. A bit of muddy grass at the time we parked but nothing our 2000lb rig couldn’t handle. Not sure how the soft grounds would handle heavy rigs. If it is a problem the owner would figure out a solution for you surely. Came for one night left after two, 100 pesos per person. Toilets with toilet paper! And hot showers! And amazing wifi connection!! Little outdoor kitchen with running water / sink, garbage and a place to dump. All the recommendations and checking in to make sure all is well🥰 I really enjoyed at night a flock of birds would swirl around for 10 minutes and an organized fashion. Didn’t see the river but saw it on our way out. Nice that there’s a store right down the road too, as there is every 10 feet on that road:p cute town as well! For some reason I felt VERY safe on this campground. Slept with door unlocked, it’s not often that that happens for me since coming to Mexico!

Note if you’re a tall rig:keep an eye on the light wires above when you pull in, not sure the clearance

We were supposed to stay here for four days and after 3 weeks we still didnt want to leave. Lucy and Moses have created a little piece of heaven here in Tanchachin. The town is special, the nature is amazing and the atmosphere is serene and peaceful. There are many wonderful places to go in the area and Moses will help you organize your trips. Cascada de Tamul is a must see. Lucy cooks some of the best food we have had in Mexico and is something of a philosopher.

I couldn't recommend this place more and I would go back gladly anytime.

Cannot really add to the previous comments except for yes, we have never experienced the kindness of anyplace anywhere in our travels all over the world. Moses and Lucy brought us table and chairs then comfy camp chairs. Offered a BBQ or a fire pit, I wasn't sure. Put up a clothes line in the palapa. The palapa has electricity, running water, sink, concrete counter and floor. just sweet. Then they brought us Pan dulce Lucy had baked, tamales! oranges. This place is a special treat for the road weary.

Report Check-In

This place is really special and so peaceful! As described siuted for big and small motorhomes, with water and electricity, very clean toilets and hot showers. Great outdoor kitchen with roof and table, chairs, light. We paid 200 for two adults and Van (no electricity needed), the kids were free!
Nature is stunning, not only Tamul Falls and Cave but also the campsite and surroundings. The best are the lovely hosts who truly spoiled us with homemade treats and attention.Lucy even baked cookies with the kids. And they took us to the market in Ciudad Valles, which was so great to feel the authentic mexican vibe. All dogs are very friendly, La Negra especially, she is such a sweet soul, we all loved her dearly.
So, if you want your heart filled with beauty and friendship, go there!

such a special place! as previously mentioned, Moises and Lucia are extremely welcoming and warm hosts. Lucia is a wonderful cook who made us coffee and breakfast in the morning, and tea and empanadas when one of us got sick on our first day there. They make sure their guests have everything they need. plug ins, shower, outdoor kitchen, etc. I really wish our spanish was better so we could have chatted more. they also offer boat tours to the waterfall and a dip in the river nearby.

THE PLACE TO STAY !
If you are passing by, this is THE place to stop! Not to mention amenities such as the dump, the showers, the toilets, the kitchen available and the wifi, Moise and Lucia welcomed us as we have rarely been. We were able to share their table and it was a treat! Moise drops you off for the tour of the waterfalls, no need to take his car. There are plenty of animals and the garden is a haven of peace. We were supposed to stay one night, we stayed 3! In short, go there!

Nice and quiet place. Best hosts ever. We can also recommend the boat to Tamul. It’s value for money. The whole river is impressive thanks to the beautiful rock formations on both sides.

This was a wonderful stay. As described by others, the hosts are great - would recommend staying here. We also spent the afternoon at the nearby site marked playita - a great boondocking option, but we really enjoyed the hospitality offered by campamento tiempo y ezpacio.

Moises and Lucy are very nice and helpful camp hosts. They allowed us to clean our vehicles after a few days of driving in the mud. For $100 pesos per person and $100 pesos for vehicle, we have electricity, water, sewer, showers, bathrooms, outside kitchen and access to a small creek to relax with cool water when it’s warm. We stayed for 2 nights as we were going to the Tamul waterfalls the next day which was an amazing trip. Moises recommended a guide named Guillermo that brought us in his pickup to the site ($1,600 pesos for 4 people) and we walked for 15 minutes to get on our boat to the waterfall which took about 1 1/2 hours. As we left at 10:00 am and came back around 3:30 pm we decided to spend a 2nd night and relaxed after a very nice day at the waterfall. Highly recommend this camping for all size RV’s.

The rigs! Thanks again to Lucy and Moises! We had a great time getting to know you, and loved the stories you told us! You certainly are “Super Hosts”. Hope to see you next trip! ❤️

Report Check-In

Wow, this place was great to us. As described by others, they are “Super Hosts”. We wanted to dump agua negra, and asked about a water treatment plant. Moyas said he had access to the tank. After showing him how the RV sewer system works, he had a 4” tap installed by the time we returned from the Cascadas!!!! A perfect 10!

Report Check-In

We had a wonderful stay here with Lucy and Moises! They certainly would be classified as "Super Hosts". We also did the trip to the falls with Guilmero 1 & Guilmero 2 ;). Lucy spent a day teaching us how to make tamales, and wow were they ever tasty. If you get a chance, have her tell you stories; stories about the badger, the parrot, chickens, the owl and the dog. All facilities were very clean, and sanitary. I can not recommend enough; just plan to stay longer than you originally planned, because you will.... ha.

Report Check-In

Highly recommend. As described before, Lucy & Antonio are very friendly helpful people. Made the tour to Tamul with their neighbor 👍🏽. Don’t miss to take a bath at the river right around the corner.

Report Check-In

Moyas and Lucy went out of their way to drive us around and even took me to Ciudad Valles to get cash at the ATM. Lucy’s brother runs a falls tour. The cost is $1600 for two for a private tour. If you wait for a group it’s $200pp. We went at 8am and there were no groups so we paid for the private tour. Don’t expect to just sit on this tour. It requires participation! You will paddle a heavy wooden canoe 2km to the vista point. It is spectacularly beautiful and if you’re lucky like we were you’ll get to be the only ones there. On the way back we saw many large groups going up river as we were coming down. The stop to swim in the “cueva del agua” was also incredible. A must see. Still 300 pesos for our van. They filled our water tank twice. We didn’t need electric but to get it you can plug into a receptical at the cocina palapa. Great place to stay while exploring the falls. They also offered to show us the playita they say is great for the dogs. They love dogs and let them roam free. You won’t find more gracious hosts anywhere.

Report Check-In

We were delighted to stay here. This place has really been thought out carefully with campers in mind. The host was extremely attentive, quickly putting up a washing line so we can hang our swimming gear, and providing us with outdoor table and chairs. They offered us fresh bananas from their very own trees. The outdoor kitchen was amazing, with even an oven if you so wish to bake. Showers and toilets very clean. We paid 300 pesos for a night with electricity. There are dry camping rates too. Our boat ride the next morning to the Tamul waterfalls was AMAZING!
