Fritch Fortress Campground | Showers

Honestly not the best place. I got in right after dark and it was seriously confusing. Not sure why there isn't a map of the campground on the notice board. The non-electric sites are harder to find and not all of the sites appeared to have a site number (which you need to have to register with their system)

I never saw the lake (dried up?) And out of the (4?) bathrooms that were supposed to have showers only one was open. (Women's, but apparently men can use it since it's the only non-broken one)

My advice is this: pay for the day pass ($3) to use the one avaliable shower and then go to either of the two rest stops that are right down the highway.

Oh, and I barely had enough cell phone reception to send and receive an occasional text, much less data.

Pulled in while pitch black with no issues, showers and bathrooms closed for winter

First come free camping. Hot showers in non-winter months. Dump station.

Free showers and camping. The water is hot wet and free.
