You can buy a SIM card from Tigo here for Q10. Bring your passport. Don't get tricked into buying a plan (that's what they'll try to sell you). Go to tigo.com.gt and check out the prepaid options (prepago). I got the SIM for Q10 plus a prepaid packet for Q120 that includes calls/sms and 12G internet for 30 days. If you're staying for only a few days or weeks there are cheaper "paquetes" that you can buy.
The Tigo shop is part of the "Zentro Plaza", which includes a supermarket, ATMs (5B and BI), restaurants, and small shops.
