NF road off of 22. Many sites, some fire pits. Can drive further in to get away from road noise and listen to the river below, although there is no river access. River banks extremely steep and very loose. Paths lead to dead ends (I thoroughly explored them). Stayed one night with no issues

Nice area right off the road with plenty of spots to choose, was the only person on a summer Thursday night. More roads leading inward that I didn't explore could have more space. light traffic noise from the road, didn't bother me at all
Report Check-InImportant note: THIS IS THE ONLY ACCESSIBLE FREE CAMPING NEAR DETROIT. We drove all the way down 22 and every developed NF road is locked up for "wildfire risk" (8 April 22). Kinda silly, considering Smokey says the risk level is low, but whatever. Lots of deep puddles and a bit overgrown, at least when I came.
