great place. very quiet (with exception of a loud train that pulled through twice). even on a Saturday night there were no other people around. it is a bit spooky and abandoned feeling, but very close to breweries. honk as you go over the bridge!
Report Check-Inafter crossing a 1 lane bridge to sailor beach from within the ex-air force base area there are several spaces to boondock. while there are picnic benches and trash there are no toilets. the beach is pretty rough but its waterfront and peaceful.
dinner and drinks are a few minutes walk to a couple of different breweries.
