Something not right?

Description

Happen to pull off to make some lunch and chose as it was at a higher elevation (~4000 ft) than Las Vegas…it is summer and hot midday. While there is nothing on the exit when you pull off (East side of 15) except an abandon old gas station with graffiti and some trash…there is an unmaintained road right there. Option is dirt lot with shabby fire ring (could fit a good sized - 30+ or more) or just over the hill (a few rocks to avoid) and there are several spots with cactus and shrubs (some trash) that are blocked by hill from the freeway which should dampen noise. The dirt road continues back but I did not explore. No signs saying no parking/sleeping/camping and it would do in a pinch if needed. No facilities but full bars LTE Verizon.

Report Check-In

Spent one night and was quiet and seemed safe. Off highway and very little noise. Many spots past abandoned gas station and rest area.
