Quiet and treed spot about 5 miles from Route 25. This is Saturday night and no one else around but it is only around 5PM. This is ideal for a class b. 4x4 not required. Watch however for low spots. Might try a small c if you stay closer to the road.

This location isn’t closed. It’s still a national forest and public land. Just be careful if the mentioned locals show up. I stayed there recently and had zero issues with anyone.
Report Check-InGreat spot southwest of Santa Fe. lots of spaces super easy off road. Quiet. Can be very windy here! Very weak Verizon w/a booster.
Report Check-InUNSAFE AREA! We were harassed by people pulling up to our spot on 4/15 and were so scared that they were going to hurt us. We had to call 911 to scare them off and we left.
Report Check-InWe pulled up to this spot late on Saturday to stay the night. A black truck (not campers, maybe locals?) followed us to our camp sight and started harassing us until we called 911. We recommend finding a different spot. This spot seems extremely unsafe- We have never experience something like this of all dispersed camping spots we’ve stayed at!
Report Check-InBeautiful forest with views! The side road was very rutted so we just camped near the turnoff. Quiet and peaceful!
Report Check-InTook me about 25 min from exit 319 off I25 to reach this destination. I didn’t notice any clearly marked campsites so after driving around a few of the roads I parked near the entrance on some low grown grass. Beautiful, quiet spot I had all to my self. The wind picked up over night so batten down the hatches!
Report Check-InBeautiful grassland dotted with small trees. Many spots to choose from. It had rained for 2 days prior to us getting here and the road in and several spots were slick. I needed to use 4wd on the gentle slop due to the soft soil.I don’t think there would be any issues for 2wd vehicles if it had not just rained.
Report Check-InQuiet, easy to drive road. A little bumpy at site. Probably would not drive up it if any chance of slickness or snow. has leaving there's downhill turns that have a good drop off and cuz the road is smooth dirt traction would be questionable. pretty views along the road. foggy in the morning so could not see the mtns. better than a rest area which is the next noted option going north.
Report Check-InQuiet. Serene. Beautiful.
Open as of Oct 1,2022.
Drove past original marking. High clearance needed due to ruts, probably wouldn’t venture further if rain forecast. ATT LTE 3 bars.
A gem of a spot. So much land! This is why this app is so great. I stayed here last night but be aware it is closed starting today!!
Forest fire, just barely made it out as they were closing it
Such a beautiful spot and great cell service too. We went pretty far back. One panel truck close to the beginning but we went way far back and were alone - except for cows.
Report Check-InGot about half way down the main dirt road before deciding to turn around- on the way up, the road becomes a bit steep with a drop off on the left and it’s currently snowy and in a shadow from the mountain, so a bit icy as well. We were worried about it getting icier over night so we turned back (our van is 2wd). SUCH a beautiful view on the way back down, though.
Report Check-InI don’t know how the first user found this place. It’s so special. You take the road and pull off onto a dirt road and pull a bit farther back. Really quiet and we shared the area with another truck camper the night we were here. Places like this make me thankful for this community. Please pack out trash with you and keep this place special and safe for fellow travelers!
Report Check-InHoly moly. This is a beautiful spot. No idea how this guy found it. The only car that drove by at sunset, just drove on when I tried to assure it was public land. I actually continued farther down. And I’m so grateful I did this rather than creasing at a noisy rest stop. The amazing sunset was the icing on the cake!!!! Again. I drove further, no issues in my SUV. Probably fine in any van or car. It’s dry. ….. loving it
