I drove up and down the side of the Black Rock Desert and finally got this spot where I have both privacy and good cell connection. The other good cell connections are generally in the middle of the plata which goes very dark at night and I did t not feel safe camping in the middle of them playa. Some traffic up and down the playa.

good spot. didn't end up spending the night as it was raining. it has maps at the entrance to the area to see where you can go. fires are permitted seems nice to stay at if as long as the ground is dry. pit toilets are located up the road a bit
Report Check-InEasy access for bigger rigs, at least at this time of year. Saw some tire ruts so watch out if the ground is wet. So windy. Good cell reception (roaming).
