Beautiful Lighthouse, with stunning grounds to sit with chairs and picnic tables. Lighthouse opens at 10am and closes at 6pm though many people still stop in to visit after 6 pm. The view of the ocean is breathtaking, and the lot is a good size (maybe 8-10 spots).
We arrived around 6pm as they were closing and stayed until about 7am the next morning with two other campers a van and car. No issues at all. I will mention there is a small ‘no overnight’ sign. All in all I think along as you are respectful it’s a great overnight stop. Can be very windy and limited cell service (Verizon).
Report Check-Infor what it's worth, i visited the lighthouse today and asked the girls at the desk if it would be OK to stay overnight. they said yes, people do it all the time. I didn't see any 'no camping' signs. I did not stay the night so YMMV, but I feel like it would be fine.
would be an incredible camp spot, none the less.
Report Check-InThe parking lot seemed small enough to us that the “no overnight parking” sign implies to the entire property not just that part. We didn’t stay here and instead went to the Elmira Train Station parking lot.
Report Check-InParked in the parking lot next to the ocean and at the side of the gift shop. We were the only one. Very quiet.
Report Check-InGravel parking lot beside the ocean and the lighthouse. Parked here last night, no issues. There is a gift shop here. We were the only overnight camper. There is a no overnight camping sign in front of the gift shop but no signs on the gravel parking lot.
