Very densely wooded campground. Sites feel private. Unfortunately we visited on a rainy couple of days and our site was pure mud. Would have been lovely in dry weather, we think. Easy access to Madison and Monona.

Campground is nice and small. nearby town is plentiful. Good diversity and friendliest of locals.

Report Check-InAfter looking at a few campgrounds, I’m happy I picked this one. Stayed Sunday - Thursday before the 4th and it was quiet. Pit toilets available but also main bath house has flushable toilets and showers.
Sites 81-83 were great from my perspective, private and quiet (stayed in 82) Afternoon sun vs morning sun.
Cell service was fine. I was working so 1-2 bars which was fine for the most part, struggled w video calls. Other areas had more
You do have to pay a state park pass in addition to your camping fee if you don’t already have.
