Huckins itself had a sign that said it was blocked off to fisherman last time I was there, but that road has several trailheads. We slept in the closest one in a car. No one bothered us, very peaceful spot in the woods. No bathrooms or anything.
Report Check-InPlanned to stay one night, but stayed two. Very quiet. Well maintained. Clean. Lots of information signage. Rules state RVs and large vehicles are prohibited. Fires are prohibited. Observed several bird species, wild turkeys, hares, and a couple porcupines feeding in the apple trees at night. Dogs are permitted in most areas while leashed - prohibited where birds feed, for example. However, note the porcupines I observed were in the trees only a few metres from my camp site. Carry in and carry out your trash. Bring a trash bag with you. No trash cans observed.
Report Check-InWalk-in camp sites, there are 5 and a big screened shelter with 2 picnic tables. The trails connects to the 6 parking spots, which was closed when we came in, however we parked on the side of the road. There is a trail that connects to the beach with a wheeled chair accesible portable pottys and within the campsites is the little cemetery of the Huckins Family. This places was magical surrounded by christmas trees and birds
