Description

We camped in front of the Hotel for 30 Gtq, two people sleeping in the Van. We were allowed to use the facilities (basic, nothing fancy) as well. Wifi was not working. Dinner (full plate, fresh and really good!) with a drink 50 Gtq. It's family owned and the people are very nice. Across the street you can cool off and swim in the Laguna.
Update 2018: 30 per person now. WiFi worked mostly well, hot showers, clean bathrooms, very nice palapa above the water with benches and table and electric plug.

This is a cute little hotel and restaurant with a beautiful dock and views of the lake! This site is more of a hotel but the lady had 2 parking spots in the front that she let us park and stay at for 3 nights. There is no actual electricity hook up outside but she was nice enough to let us plug into one of the outlets from the hotel. They had 2 nice showers and bathrooms but there was only cold water but the cold water felt nice after a long day in the heat. This is a perfect location for the lake and Tikal! It was $60Q per night with no extra charge to use electricity. The host was great and made us feel right at home. I would recommend!

Great place to stay and relax on the lake for a couple of days. It’s super cheap. They charged me 30 Q per day including electricity. Nice family run place. A bit noisy on weekends but ok.

Like everyone said, great place for relativly cheap, we paid 50Q for 2 people (she wanted 60 and we asked for 50 and she said okay) nice family, nice dock, simple toilet and shower- and most important we could connect to electricity! in hot days like now really worth it! reccomend

We spent two nights here. We paid 25qtz per person. You have access to toilets, cold showers and wifi as well as to the pontoon on the lake for swimming.

Great place by the lake, 50Qt. The lake is amazing to swim in but beware there are crocodiles. They had said the crocs are on the other side of the lake but 2 mornings we saw them close by. Doesn't stop locals from swimming but don't swim at night. Good WiFi. Restaurant next door has good food

We crossed from hopkins, belize up to here. We enjoyed it a lot. The family was really kind. The place quiet to park the car and sleep with doors opened in front of the lake. 50 quetzal for both. Next day we went to tikal and we slept again here. Good wifi and very clean bathroom. If you want something to eat you can use the restaurant. They have an amazing peer also.

We stayed here 4 nights, Parked on the grass opposite facing the lake.
30q per person per night. Wifi reached the lake, not super fast, but ok. Had use of cold showers and bathroom. Myra who runs the place, lovely smiley lady, looked after our 2 dogs while we visited Tikal. I asked to pay her , she didn’t say a price, so I gave her 60q.

Camping on the grassy area right on the lake or in the flat, grassy parking lot in front of the hotel & restaurant right across the street for Q30pp. Flush toilets and a cold shower with a pipe, but plenty of water pressure. WiFi in the restaurant. Reasonably priced beers. Claro and Tigo signal. There is a guy who will watch your dog while you go to Tikal, which means he ties the dog up in the back of the property, for a “propina.” We decided to get a room and leave our dog in the room while we visited Tikal, because it was very hot in the sun. Rooms with shared bathroom and shower (same as the camping) are Q150 per room and come with a fan. Some rooms have a shared balcony with a view of the lake. The family is very nice, but Ruby (their dog) bit our dog on the leg the second day, after they played together all day the first day. We think Ruby might be in heat or pregnant now, so may be moodier than usual. Our dog was stressed but ok, no blood drawn. Overall, nice family and property. They also have a muelle over the lake with a palapa. Nice sunsets.

Parked in grassy area across the street from the restaurant/hotel. There some flat areas available, not much shade. The space is shared with Restaurant Ernesto. The lake and pier are wonderful, great place to relax and do sunrise yoga, with the howler monkeys. $25Q pp, able to use the shower (cold water) and bathrooms. Very nice people. Recommend

Nice place, we can park our van, near the lake for 50 quetzal for 2 people, there is pear and palapa on water with table. you can swim in the lake.

Update 2018: the price is 30pp indeed, we paid just 30 per both of us the first night, but i overheard the owner (bit annoyed) explaining the girl on the bar(which we paid), that it's 30pp - so the next day we paid that.
However, I think it's worth it. Clean bathrooms with new hot showers included, WiFi worked quite well for the three days we've stayed there, with some ups and downs, but above average. [Password removed by moderator.]
Nice palapa right above the water, entry is normally 5pp but included as well in the camping - and there's a plug in the palapa, so I comfortably worked right on the water with my laptop plugged in.
Quiet during the night. would stay again, good place before orafter sweating in tikal :)

We stopped here for one day on our way to Tikal and payed 30 Q for the night. We hadn't eaten at the restaurant. We asked for internet and were told that it doesn't work right now. When we came back from Tikal for another night, the lady told us, the price is 30 Q per person. Compare to the 80 Q they charge for a room, 60 Q is way too much for a parking lot beside the street without any privacy and no showers. Again we asked for internet and were told that we can use it only when eating in the restaurant. So we're a little bit angry about the place. On the other hand you have one of the best places for swimming right across the street and you can use their jetty all day long.

Report Check-In

We took a room for 80Q pp. The room is super basic but it's cheap so you get what you pay for. The roof in the room is very high up, it's really a huge palapa with some thin walls separating three rooms. We stayed one night and moved to Sea Breeze hotel for the rest of our stay in the town (nice, 150Q, secure parking).

Fantástico lugar. Hay cocina de leña preciosa, vista al lago, muy tranquilo. Los precios son negociables sobre todo en temporada baja.
