Description
Nice State park campground right next to the National park. Direct access to the beach/dunes from the campground. Large bathrooms with hot showers. Signs say no alcohol allowed but no one searched the vehicle or anything (thank goodness!).

Currently $23 per night ($30 on weekends) + $6 transaction fee + taxes + $12 for out of staters to pull into the park the first time (paid at gate). Nice stop for a night in-between free campgrounds to take a shower, wash dishes, and refill water.

Park was green and shade cool on the first day of summer. Showers were a bit stinky.
Report Check-InNice campground with electric hookups at each site, small convenience store with a few non perishables and limited camping stuff, nearby restaurant at the beach with general store. Some very nice hiking trails, but not well marked unless you start from the nature center. Check out the free events board at the entrance to the shower building! I did the mushroom walk, and it was really fun.
Report Check-In$24.61 (with tax) per night plus one-time entrance fee ($7 in-state, $12 out-of-state). Electric hook ups, dump station (requires water bandit to use sani flush), water fill up (just in one location, set up like a drive-thru)
Nice showers and flush toilets, plus clivus-style throughout.
Lots of nice hiking in the park, and walkable to the beach for swimming, etc
