When turning off Hwy 24 the first thing you’ll see is the BLM established campground on the right. That is NOT free. Travel on past that and bear to the left on Forest Road 225. There are many sights, most big enough for large RV’s. The road is good for all vehicles to get to any site. If you drive on into the “no camping area”, which is posted, the roads get a lot worse. There are usually OHV vehicles around but not real crowded or dusty. Mostly quiet and good campers. Lots of hiking options, even up Round Mountain outcrop. I get 10 tv stations. I also have AT&T and get super fast 5Ge signal. The cell tower is visible on Round Mountain. A very nice place that I will surely visit again. Bring what you need.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
Roads accessible to 2WD in beginning but higher clearance needed as you travel back. Spots are large and marked with a post.
Report Check-InGood road in. Past the campground there are established dispersed campsites about 100 yds apart. Many people camping and a lot of ATV’s but no real problem
