Walmart - Laurel | Informal Campsite

We sure appreciate the Walmarts that allow overnight parking in their parking lots. This one has a big grassy lot next to the parking lot where our young dog was able to expend some of her energy. There is more garbage along the parking lot edge than we have seen elsewhere. It’s like a chain smoker stayed here for several days and left all their butts in the grass. Plus plastic bottles, tissues and the usual assortment of litter. Tried to pick up what was around where we parked and took a bag to the provided garbage cans.
This was probably one of the noisier Walmarts we’ve stayed at. The highway traffic especially. Just seems louder here. Evening brought exhaust smells, but not sure from where or why.
None of this is Walmart’s fault and we do appreciate their hospitality❤️

The parking lot is quiet - but lots of highway and train noise. Park at outer edge of lot, and remember to keep it clean. Stayed 1 night with no issues.

Typical Walmart. Some other campers and vans around for the evening. Can hear train in the distance and the freeway, but overall not too noisy.
