Guatemala
Camped at Finca/Laguna Chichoy. Really nice big property with two smaller lakes. Really beautiful setting. You can camp almost anywhere around the southeast lake. Pricing is 10 quetzales per person plus 25 quetzales per tent/vehicle. Nice walks around the property. If the property gate is closed call 55530825 and talk to the Rafael Guarcax to get access to the property and for information. You can buy/fish trout for 30 quetzales a pound and 15 quetzales a pound for carpe. There are different ways to get to the property. From Panajachel is about an hour and a half and a third of the route is through a dirt road that takes you through very pretty and small farming villages. You can also access the property from the CA1 / Panamericana which is shorter. There's still a section of dirty road. Bigger rigs and two wheel drive may be ok but road is narrow and steep in some spots. During the rainy season there might be sections with deep mud.

Nice camping spot with a pond next to it, space enough for up to 18 cars. They charge us 25 per tent and 10 per adult. It has a nice view with some cows and dogs.
Temperature at midnight went from 28°C to 9°C. Come prepared with sleeping bags and some jackets.

Report Check-InReally nice and quiet place to sleep. We just set up camp and someone came to collect the money. We paid 10 per person. It can get cold and windy up here. No facilities.
Report Check-InSpent the night at this beautiful Finca and enjoyed walking the land. Lots of agriculture is happening there, enjoyed watching work in progress and all the friendly faces.
Note the elevation of 8600 ft, it gets cold and windy at night.
We paid 45Q for 2 people in a truck camper. Very peaceful night.
